VOLTAROL
It is used in acute rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (Strumpell’s disease), arthrosis, and spondylitis treatment.
The drug has the characteristic of non-steroid anti-drugs properties: it has anti inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effect. By the force of anti inflammatory and analgesic actions it exceeds acetylsalicylic acid, butadion and ibuprofen. For effectiveness in Strumpell’s disease and rheumatism treatment does not concede prednisolone and indometacin.
The drug is generally well tolerated and rarely causes side effects. There are, however, (especially at the beginning of treatment), pain in the epigastric area, belch, vomiting, diarrhea, headaches and dizziness. These events usually pass independently. In some cases allergic skin reaction are possible.
The drug is contraindicated in stomach and duodenum ulcer and the first 3 months of pregnancy.
What is the shelf life of the pills?
- The expiry date is mentioned on each blister. It is different for different batches. The shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture and would differ from batch to batch depending on when they were manufactured.
