Indications
Diabetes mellitus type II (with the ineffectiveness of diet).
Pharmacodynamics
Derivative sulfonylurea of II generation. Has pancreatic and non-pancreatic effects. It stimulates insulin secretion by lowering the threshold of glucose irritation of pancreas beta cells, increases sensitivity to insulin and its degree of binding targets with cells-increases the release of insulin, insulin increases the effect on the absorption of glucose by muscles and liver, slows down lipolysis in fat tissue. Provides hypolipidemic, fibrinolytic actions, inhibits platelet aggregation, contributes to reduction of muscle capillary membranes. The action begins in 10-30 min after taking maximum action is 1.5-2 h.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, type I diabetes, juvenile diabetes type I, type II diabetes labile currents, diabetic ketoacidosis, prekoma and diabetic coma, severe microangiopathy, severe liver-kidney failure, infectious diseases, insuloma, big surgery, pregnancy, lactation. With caution - feverish syndrome, alcoholism, suprarenal failure, thyroid disease, diabetic nephroangiopathy, chronic pyelonephritis.
What is the shelf life of the pills?
